Existing App Reviews

Outdated record

One of the stores I tried to visit in Gurugram as per this app was shut as it was a year ago. Other one told me we don’t keep Jan Aushadhi medicine. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Record needs to be updated. Otherwise it’s helpful app.

User 1
Centre Closed

I called the nearest medical shop as per this app and the lady told me it is permanently closed. It should not be closed and the details should be updated.

User 2
App is dam slow

This rating is only for app it is dam slow... But this scheme is excellent and price of the medicines are very much affordable.

User 3
no availability

I want some products but salesman says ki यह सारी चीज़ें पिछले 6 महीने से नहीं आ रही है. यह बंद है वह काम में लिक कुछ रहे हैं हमारे पास मिलती है बांकी सरकार इसकी उल्लू बना रही है

User 4
App is not good

Please make negative rating arrangement so that we can give minus rating −10 −( * )

User 5
Jan Aushadhi Sugam App.

It's a very very badly designed app. Nothing works. Illogical requirements like it wants your email and email password for login to this app, which is very much bogus. Search medicines doesn't work. Even you can't give feedback in the app. Totally a bogus app. I don't know how a government app can be so illogical and bad.

User Research

Our team conducted 1-on-1 interviews to understand how different user groups manage medical records, purchase medicines, and build trust with doctors and pharmacists. This helped us uncover key habits, behaviors, and pain points within the existing system.

Defining The Problem

Despite the noble goal of the scheme, a lack of awareness, supply chain inconsistencies, and an outdated digital presence created friction. The core problem was: How might we bridge the trust deficit and make generic medicine discovery seamless?

User Scenarios

We mapped out the journey of a user finding a generic alternative to a prescribed medicine, locating the nearest Kendra (store), and verifying stock availability before making a trip.

Solution

A modernized, intuitive mobile application that acts as a comprehensive healthcare companion. Features include barcode scanning for instant generic alternatives, live stock tracking at local Kendras, and a robust educational onboarding process.

Prototype

The final high-fidelity prototype brings the new design system to life, featuring a clean, trustworthy aesthetic with clear typography and accessible color contrast. (Interactive prototype embedded below).
